Tru Loved (2008) is a feature film starring Najarra Townsend, Jake Abel, Matthew Thompson, Tye Olson, Cynda Williams, Alexandra Paul, and Marcia Wallace about high school students, gay and straight, starting a Gay Straight Alliance. The film also stars Nichelle Nichols, Alec Mapa, Bruce Vilanch, and David Kopay in cameo roles. The film premiered at Newfest on 15 June 2008 and at the Frameline Film Festival on 21 June 2008.
